MODULE 4 Psychoanalysis and Contemporary Culture (3 ECTS)
This course explores, from a psychoanalytic perspective, the power dynamics related to denialism and totalitarian regimes, highlighting collective defense mechanisms and manipulative aspects that alter the construction of official truths and historical memory. Starting from the historical analysis of Latin American realities, with particular focus on Argentine and Brazil, the course offers a theoretical and critical deep dive into current political-social phenomena through classical psychoanalytic concepts such as denial, splitting, and identification with the aggressor, reinterpreted in social and intersubjective terms.
